Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Zero Snaps ("the game," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our game on the web, iOS, or Android. By using Zero Snaps, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

This policy applies to Zero Snaps on iOS and Android, and to the web version where the described features are available.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

Game progress, including puzzle completion status, daily streak data, and speed run records
User preferences, including player color, audio settings, and difficulty selections
On the web version, this data is stored using your browser's localStorage. On mobile, it is stored using the operating system's standard app storage.

1.2 Information Collected Through Online Multiplayer

When you use the online multiplayer feature, we collect the following through Firebase Realtime Database:

An anonymous user identifier generated by Firebase Authentication. This identifier does not contain your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
Match data, including lobby codes, game scores, puzzle completion times, move counts, and your selected player color.
All match data is temporary. It is automatically deleted when the match ends or within 24 hours, whichever comes first.

1.3 Information Collected Through Advertising

Web version (Google AdSense): The web version of Zero Snaps displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activity across websites in order to provide personalized advertisements. This may include your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and interaction data. You can manage your ad personalization preferences at adssettings.google.com.

Mobile app (Google AdMob): The iOS and Android versions of Zero Snaps display advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following information:

Device advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android)
Device information, including device model, operating system version, and screen size
IP address
Ad interaction data, including impressions and clicks

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads.

1.4 Information Collected Through Daily Puzzles

When you play daily puzzles, the game fetches puzzle data from our content delivery network (Cloudflare). Standard server logs may record your IP address and request metadata. We do not use this data for tracking, identification, or any purpose beyond serving the requested content.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Zero Snaps does not collect:

Personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number
Location data (GPS, Wi-Fi, or cell tower based)
Contacts, photos, or other files on your device
Health, fitness, or biometric data
Behavioral analytics or usage tracking beyond what is described in this policy

Zero Snaps does not require you to create an account or sign in to play.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above solely for the following purposes:

To provide and operate the online multiplayer feature
To serve daily puzzle content
To display advertisements (through third-party advertising services described below)

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Zero Snaps uses the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy governing the data it collects:

Firebase (Google)
Used for anonymous authentication and real-time multiplayer coordination.

Google AdSense (web version only)
Used to display advertisements on the web version of the game. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your browsing activity.

Google AdMob (iOS and Android only)
Used to display advertisements in the mobile app. AdMob collects device identifiers and ad interaction data.

Cloudflare
Used as a content delivery network to serve daily puzzle data.

5. Data Disclosure Summary

Game progress and preferences (local storage): Used to run the game and preserve your settings and progress. Shared with: no third parties by us; stored on your device.
Anonymous multiplayer data (Firebase): Used to host online matches, synchronize game state, and complete multiplayer sessions. Shared with: Firebase as our processor/service provider.
Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data (AdMob/AdSense): Used to serve ads and measure ad performance. Shared with: Google AdMob (mobile) and Google AdSense (web).
Request metadata such as IP address for content delivery (Cloudflare): Used to deliver daily puzzle content and maintain service reliability. Shared with: Cloudflare as our content delivery provider.

6. Data Retention

Local game data is retained on your device until you delete it manually or uninstall the app.
Online match data is retained in Firebase for the duration of the match and is automatically deleted within 24 hours.
Anonymous authentication identifiers are retained according to Firebase's policies; we do not use this identifier to directly identify you.
Advertising data is retained by Google in accordance with Google's data retention policies.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all locally stored game data at any time by using the "Delete All Data" option in the Settings screen within the game. This permanently removes all progress, records, preferences, and local identifiers from your device.

Online match data is automatically deleted within 24 hours. You do not need to take any action to delete it.

To request deletion of any data held by third-party services (Firebase, Google AdSense, Google AdMob), please refer to the respective service's privacy policy linked in Section 4.

7.1 No Account Creation

Zero Snaps does not provide user account creation. Because no user accounts are created, account-based deletion requests and account-deletion endpoints are not applicable to Zero Snaps.

8. Children's Privacy

Zero Snaps is rated for all ages (4+ on iOS, Everyone on Android). The game does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The game does not require account creation, and no personally identifiable information is requested at any point.

Zero Snaps is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the game, please contact us using the information in Section 11, and we will take steps to delete that information.

9. In-App Purchases

The mobile version of Zero Snaps offers an optional in-app purchase to remove advertisements. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information, including credit card numbers or billing addresses.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information associated with the game. All communication with Firebase and Cloudflare uses encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the game after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
